Schloss Wildenstein und Eichenwald

Bubendorf – Lampenberg

A hike for romantics. Walking among the 500-year-old gnarled oaks on the way to Wildenstein and then standing before the castle itself makes you feel like you’ve ended up back in the Middle Ages. It’s worth making the short (5-minute) detour to the Sormatt waterfall. Further along, towards Lampenberg, it becomes clear that the Basel area is not just about ‘Bärg und Täli’ (peaks and valleys) but also big distances, space, air and breathing room.
